Swingers. Is it normal where you live?

A recent survey has shown that swinger clubs are, indeed, popular. Just if you know where to go and whom to ask. And in some places they run openly, anyway. Some 1.5% population is interested in group sex. This seems to be true for any population, basically. Some 4% admits to having experience with it, at least once. Some percentage of married couples also does that.

After we theoretically got rid of the commies (same people, different parties), attempts were taken to create and strengthen some middle class in the shape as in capitalist government. However, it's not like the classic generic middle class exists anywhere. So, the artificial emphasis caused a great focus on climbing up the ladder. In most cases it was most funny.

Then, the fashionable things came and, ultimately, sex toys came along. Together with some new tricks. You know, straight missionary is boring. It's uncool and untrendy. Cool and trendy is to play something new. I don't know, having gay sex if you're straight, BDSM, funny fetishes, and the like. Group sex was bound to follow. And now we have group sex sessions open to public.

Is it normal where you live to go to swingers clubs. Is it still trendy in Western Europe and the US? I haven't seen any such facility in any country where I've gone.

I know in the UK here it has become very popular over the past couple of years and I have heard wonderful things about it. A lot of people like it to put a bit of spice back into a stale relationship. I would not like to share my partner with others :toofar: but I don't see anything wrong with swing.

They're popular everywhere, so long as you know where to look.

As you say, there is a certain percentage of the population who is interested in this and that is the same in all of the reasonably developed countries.

However, for some reason I have the prejudice that the Germans are more into it than most others, that however is just a prejudice and one I dont even know where I have got it from.

I am sure it is mighty fun for those who are into it and just like everything else from folkdance clubs and gyms to gay S&M clubs it is good to have somewhere to gather together with people with the same interests.

Normal? Not where I live. You have to look to find a place that openly advertises as a swinger's meeting place.
But, it's easier to find those places and people, since talking about sexuality is far more accepted now than, say, my mother's childhood.
So in short, I know where to go, but it's not getting shoved in my face.

[IMG] I don't know about it community wise, but online - yes. I was visting one of my favorite sites - rotten tomatoes (movie review site), and a pop-up came up called adult friend finder that had a search for swinger clubs. So technically it is being shoved in some peoples' faces and I find it disheartening that any young child visiting a site as clean as rotten tomatoes would have to see that.

Yeah, it's easily accessed on the internet too, here. It's not like all kids know where to look for it, but it's not like anything's done to prevent that. Group sex ads are public in public forums and there are many people (90% of them female contrary to what I would have previously supposed) who have nothing better to do than to discuss their gang bang dreams.

But what about the less inherently perverted places than internet forums?
