I've not tried it myself, but it and a few others available from the Sorcerer's Net page look interesting. I'm hoping that they will one day be converted to WeiDU format to ensure compatibility...

    [IMG] Oh yuck...nevermind guys. Sorry!
I just looked at the installation notes.
"Now the next step is to run Infinity Engine Editor Pro, clicking on the Dialog.TLK Editor."
    :hmm: :bang:
I don't even know what Infinity Engine Editor Pro is.
But now I can add ease of installation to my list of reasons I like the Kelsey mod.
Cheers to the guy who made the Kelsey mod!

To be honest, it looks like the Sylvan Mystic could be converted to a WeiDU mod fairly quickly. If anyone could get ahold of the author (PolarBear) and get his permission, I wouldn't mind converting it.

I'm not too big on kits, so I don't know: are most of the kits at SP in non-WeiDU format?

@ tabari - Infinity Engine Editor Pro is found at teambg.

@CamDawg - Yes, as far as I know, they are all in non-WeiDu format.

I thought that the Sylan Mystic was a little over-powered, but if I remember correctly, its in-game description was the same as the default in the KitEditor (Arcane Archer IIRC), but that might have changed since then because I haven't used it for more than like 6 months.

It's a pain to install, just like most kits that I have come across.

Since the spells, tables, etc. are already made, converting the install process for a kit to WeiDU is simple... Without the creator's permission, though, it's hands off. I think I'll start a new thread and see if folks are interested in having the SP kits converted to WeiDU.

@CamDawg: If you decide to convert these kits (as there are several there that would be very interesting) I would be very grateful. I've not looked into WeiDU kit making yet, so I've not bothered trying myself, but I have been intrigued by these kits for quite awhile.

Has anyone tried the Morituri kit? I've tried it once and afterwards vowed to never use him again in his sheer overpoweredness, by the time I was halfway through SoA he made up for two fighters!!!

    Advantages:
-Immune to backstab, +1 to str/dex/con on character creation.
-Movement speed, armour class and saving throws improvements according to combat experience.*
-Gains Armor of Light ability according to his/her combat experience.**
-Gains Heaven's Touch by becoming the LightBringer ***
-Bonus +1 to hit/damage for every 3 levels.
-Bonus -1 to speed factor for every 4 levels.
-Physical, elemental and magic resistance improvements per level.****

-Apprentice: immune to all diseases, and cannot be slowed or hasted.*****
-Expert: Immune to charm and poison.
    -Spartian: Immune to fear.
-Morituri: Permanent protection from evil, immune to hold & level drain, +2 str/dex/con bonus, +1 bonus attack per round, regenerate 1hp/sec.
-LightBringer: Immune to stun & blindness, cannot be mazed or imprisoned, regenerate 2hp/sec.

    Disadvantages:
-May not use missile weapons or bows.
-May not use any magic items except weapons and boots.
-May become up to proficient with blunt, spiked, piercing weapons.
    -Must be of good alignment.
    -Humans only.

*-2AC, -2 movement speed, -2 saving throws every 7 levels
** A combination of Kai and Berserker enrage Armour of Light provides maximum damage for the first 10 seconds plus +2 to hit/damage, -2AC, immunity to charm,hold,fear,maze,imprisonment,stun,sleep,+15 hit points for 60 seconds. After that the Morituri becomes winded: -2 to hit/damage,+2 penalty to AC, -15 hit points.
*** Heaven's Touch: a combination of Mass Cure, Sunray, Nature's Beauty, Wing Buffet and Protection from Evil 10' radius spells inspired by Solafein's Moonrays and Moonfruit's Improved House Je'elat battle.
**** Resistance to missile, crushing, piercing, slashing, fire, cold, acid, electricity 1% per level + resistance to magic 2% per level up to level 39.
***** Apprentice: level 7, Expert: level 14, Spartian: level 21, Morituri: level 28, LightBringer: level 36.

Also it takes a hell of a long time to get the heavens touch ability if not soloing, and wis, int, and cha are set so you cannot minmax ability points.

Also I know what sola's moonrays are but what the heck is moonfruit?

Moonfruit is the creator of the Ruad mod and the Improved Battles mod, though he has since retired from BG2 modding.

Back on topic... I've sent an email to Polar Bear, the Sylvan Mystic creator, seeking permission for conversion.

I've never tried that Morituri kit. I remember that as soon as I saw the desciption though, I KNEW it was going to be way overpowered, so taht's probably why. Glad to hear someone who tried it proved my suspicions right. :)
