[IMG] The Gullykin rooster had barley stretched his wings ready for his morning call, when a dark figure ran streaming out the front gate, followed by a rather red faced, hairy footed Halfling, wielding what looked like a sort of dead rabbit on a pole. This chubby faced halfling was a popular drinking buddy among the local patrins of the Gullykin tavern, all on acount of his half human daughter, Elisse. The dark hooded figure he was chasing goes by the name of Rothgar, a Half-Elf bard from....well....to be perfectly honest, he's never told me. He's got a good heart but tends to get in more trouble than i'd relate too. Our young hero had made the mistake of getting experianced hands, of this Elisse. Of course he was discovered by her father in the early hours of the morning...
After a couple of minutes of being chased by this angry little hair foot, Rothgar decided to cast a sleep spell on him and move on up into the hills to see what things of interest were around. After about an hour or so's worth of walking, Rothgar stopped and listened. He could here padding of feet, very faint though, sounded like they were over the otherside of the hill."Damn!" Rothgar thught, "piking kobolds!"
Within minutes he'd been surrounded by a large band. Now you might think, "bah, kobolds, what's he so worried about?!" The answer to that is that these kobolds were different. They had recently bin breeding with goblins, forming tiefling-like kobolds. They were stronger, faster and smarter.
Rothgar instinctivley threw his staff to the ground and drew his katana. He needed to place himself, "take out the leader!" a voice said in his head... Another said "no, destroy the weaker ones with a fireball!"
"NO!!!" Rothgar screamed, "i'm a bard and i'll fight like a bard. He pulled out his Octernaa off his back and pointed, a Kobold leaped, just grazing Rothgar's shoulder. And then....he began to play, he played the notes of a thousand bards before, each note ripping through the kobolds very being, their very existance was threatened by the power of the song. Time stood still that day, Rothgar could feel the power surging through him... he raised his hand and time began once more...
He kept his hand raised, not moving, not shaking. Most of the kobolds had either fled or been turned to stone by the bardic music. Rothgar uttered a single word under his breath, and the fire flew, flame after flame, searing through every kobold on the plane, one after the other. He raised his head.....and he knew that instant, that he would be a bard to ecco through ages and time itself, he was Rothgar, and nothing would stop him.
