Hmm...i was just wondering what kinda taste in music all you people here have? I'm into several different styles; but i like Gothic/Classical, Industrial/Rock and Heavy/Alternative. Some of my facourite bands include Motörhead, Muse, Sisters of Mercy, KoRn and the ever-humorous Spinal Tap.
What about you?

I've been waiting for a thread like this to open up!

I'm very big on 'extreme' metal that most people have never heard of, and visibly wince when I play it to them (examples: Dying Fetus, Anaal Nathrakh, Mínus). Although my CD collection consists of nearly all metal, I pride myself on having eclectic tastes (Jazz, 60's rock, some modern Electronica). My favourite bands are probably Slipknot and Nirvana. Clichéd, I know, but without them I probably wouldn't be into music at all.

Method Man and Redman have done some mighty fine stuff. Be sure to pick up Method Tical.

Me myself dont listen to music much. Few years back I was really into rap and hiphop but as it got even more commercialised I stopped. Early 90's rap still includes some of the best albums ever made. I have always been a big Queen fan and they must be the best band ever to exist. Lets see ah yes I like some swedish progressive rockers/songwriters too.

Well i'm more into the genre you guys probaly never have heard before:

Psydellictrance, trance, goa, hardcore, metal (mostly heavy) and gabber.

My favorite bands (or persons cause it's mostly one person that makes trance etc.)

Music for all occations, music of all sounds and shapes; every genre serves its purpose, so I try to listen to a little bit of everything. Lately, I've been listening to jazzed-up techno, triphop-ish stuff, and various techno trash...

Red Snapper, Kid Loco, Cinerex, Death In Vegas, DJ Shadow, Morcheeba, Tricky, blabla...
eX-Girl is also rather interesting, if you're into Japanese experimental punk stuff... ( aliens, beachballs and frogs, oh my! )

LittleJimmy, do you know where i could pick up Anaal Nathrakh's latest album? I've looked for it EVERYWHERE. Im not desperate, but i'd like to get my paws on it. I've checked Virgin and HMV but they've never heard of it?

My taste in music might seem strange to some of you, but I like blues. Especialy B.B. King, Popa Chubby and John Lee Hooker.

I also like to listen to music from Queen, Meatloaf, U2, I guess what a lot would call the 'oldies'.

I can also appreciate a lot of other bands, but I can't stand music genre's like Punk, Heavy Metal, Dance, Trance, Techno, Rap, Gangsta Rap, R&B, Hiphop, Shock Rock, a well you get the idea, all those over commercialised junk of these days which they call music.

Hmmm, i prefere swedish bands like DLK, UBBA, Ebba Grön, Charta 77, The kristet urséende...Räserbajs.....
Like punk, my favorite bands that sings on english is Sex pistols, Judas priest, Ramones, millencollin, blink 182, NIrvana, Hammerfall, Metallica, AC/DC, Black sabbath, Green day, guns n roses.....

 

Just about any kind of Rock or Metal. Preferably THRASH-Slayer,Overkill,Anthrax,Megadeth,old Metallica,Exodus,Flotsam,Forbidden,Pantera,Seputura,Suicidal,Testament. Just to name a few favorites
