[IMG] The National Tea Party Federation is walking the talk. They recently announced that they would not tolerate bigots in their ranks, and they appear true to their word:

Here's a portion of the offensive remarks:

Kudos to the Federation for showing some political courage (altough the Express is only about 600 members). While I'm sure that Williams and his supporters would claim exactly the reverse, that the federation gave into political pressure. Nevertheless, the point that Williams doesn't "get" his own remarks speaks volumes about him. He clearly intended to be offensive and he succeeded. Now he wants to cry about it.

I'm not sure if I should call this a perfect storm or a perfect situation. What I mean by that is that the Tea Party Express's letter came right after the resolution from the NAACP (or was it right before), and, while I understand the satirical nature of the letter, it really don't make it any better or less offensive. It seems that everything just came together at once for what may be a defining moment for the character of the Tea Party movement.

    I hope this continues.
