    Watched it last night, and was mostly impressed. *Very* good production values, some clever songs and a number of really clever moments, and one extended vomiting scene that was somehow hilarious (I think it was the excessive hollywood-type music in the background).

    It was somewhat politically ambiguous: a satire of gung-ho American ignorance as represented by Jerry Bruckheimer films, that also seemed sometimes like a celebration.

    Other highlights: Michael Moore as a suicide bomber with a hot dog in each hand and mustard dripping down his chin, a computer called I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E., and a surprisingly rude sex scene between puppets.

    Most films with supposed 'political' messages are fairly ambiguous about what they're supposed to be saying. (Which makes you question whether they're really trying to articulate any real political sentiment at all.)

    I just got home from seeing it, and I was nearly incapable of stopping laughing throughout.

    My favorite parts were: The analogy with the drunk in the bar, the way the terrorists only seemed to know six or seven different words, and the line "I promise. I will never die."

    It's a Stone/Parker film so it's on my list of must-see films. Especially if it takes a lot of shots at Canada.

    Why DO they take so many shots at Canada?

    Actually, to get back on topic, I heard that the initial idea for this film was that Matt and trey were going to make it a marionette send-up of "The Day After Tomorrow"

    I finally saw this yesterday, and it was awesome. Not as good as Baseketball, but good none the less. Oh, and I don't think they made fun of Canada at all.

    I want to see, especially after the super dramatic commericial where they had I'll Stand By You playing and showing scenes from the movie. I couldn't stop laughing at that.

    Saw ads for it on TV the other night and it looks heaps better than I thought it would. Definitely a must-see.
