I am new to BGII (Loved the IWD series) and I am still in the intro. I just left the dungeon and, during the scene where the parties' captor (the wizard's name escapes me at the time) is destroying the assassins, the game crashes. It happens right after he and Imeon cast spells at one another and a host of wizards show up to stop the fight. It crashes right after that and I am faced with my desktop. Has this happened to anybody before? I thank you for your time.

I have experienced similar problems. A full re-install of the game usually did the trick for me. I would suggest trying that, if you dont get any joy then let us know and i'm sure this helpful bunch of chaps will be able to sort you out :p ;)

If you have a big enough HD, I would recommend a full install (about 2.5GB). It saves you a lot of trouble with swappin' cd's and such. You also don't have to rely on your CD-ROM (which, for me, is very unreliable).
