[IMG] The end of the goblin fortress finished a little differently for me from the solution listed on the ID2 site here. The ranger I was supposed to be rescuing ended up attacking me as we left the fortress, and I had to do him in. Afterwards, the responses of the NPCs (like his wife/girlfriend) familliar with the ranger (Berenson? Beronar? Something like that...) seemed to allow for that type of result. Is it possible that he was a doppleganger? (The only unusual thing about the final combat just before I saved the ranger was that my mage ended up charming a bugbear, which was following my party around at the end. But the ranger didn't attack the bugbear, it attacked one of my party members.)
