Yes, this is one of those "what's your favorite weapon" posts.

But we're not judging by stats here. Which weapon (or armor, jewelry, other item) has the most interesting, emotional, poignant, etc. backstory or effect to you?

I'm going to say a few (although I'm not very familiar with ToB items, so if anyone lists some, I'd like to hear the background of it):

-NPC-personal items: They do say a bit about the characte.

-Rod of Wonders: Funny background and interesting effects (managed to petrify the black dragon with it).

-Crom Faeyr: Despite its uber-ness, I did find it to have an interesting background and method of making.

This has already been discussed before.
    Favourite weapons

But its been a long time since that. So,...

The coolest weapon award goes to Malakar +2. Its a shame i dont ever use it. It gives extra +2 to AC against slashing weapons.

The best one: Shurupak's plate armor. It gives an extra +1 to dexterity which is strange for a full plate. -2AC and 20% fire resistance.

Another great item is Armor of thorns +6. I has an incredible AC for a studden leather armor. It is the same AC as a normal full-plate + 1d4 fire damage to any attacker.

I like the Bastard Sword that is also a holy Avenger -- you get it in Watchers keep (forgot the name). The back story to that one, with the Paladin diving through a gate to protect his homeland, that's a good one!

For looks, the other Holy Avenger (the one I tend to use!) Carsomyr, that is a stylish looking piece of sword.

In fact, most of the 2 handed swords look pretty slick, even though I don't like using them (I like my shields!)

My fav ToB swords are The Answerer (-2 to enemy AC and -15% MR, cumulative) and upgraded Angurvadal (strength set to 22, immune to level drain). Dual-wield these, toss in the greater whirlwind or improved haste and you've got yourself a winner.

I like the Shadow Armor(AC4) for some reason... I don't understand why. Long sword +2 "Varscona" is also one of my favourites...

What the heck? Gothmog4230 did you even read before you posted? What's this list of nice weapon features etc when that was not the question, all of you?

As for me, Lilarcor's description is the only one that I seem to remember. Even though I'd prefer a nice, serious, epic story to the humorous one that Lilarcor has to offer, I'll choose it for now.
