[IMG] Well, it is like I have tried everything, but that chamber keeps on having me killed in 1 minute ! I truly would like to do it, but it looks almost impossible to me. My cleric can animate dead but she needs to move around because of the fire stuff coming out from the floor. Then the monks hit her. Does anyone has a strategy ?

The main strategy is to avoid the flamestrikes. They are heralded by the glowing spots on the floor. All I ever do is make sure I run away from the spots and hack at the monks as best I can in between. I doubt you would ever have time to cast Animate Dead in there, because that is a pretty long spell to cast.

The best tactic I had was when I played the game with my 2 drow party. The tank was Part Demarch of Mask, part Rogue (as well as Fighter and Monk!). The Evasion skill alone meant I rarely got struck by the Flames - and I also had the Demarches Mirror Image for backup.

This does beg the question: Does Evasion get rolled twice in this instance (1 for the Monk and 1 for the Rogue)? It would explain my miraculous fire-dodging skills, but I doubt it does.

^ Evasion is only rolled for once. It is a free feat that either class will grant you, rather than an automatic ability of each class.

It is a HoF or Normal difficulty?
Because in Hof you gonna need a different strategy.
With the EoUse mod you can cast Iron body with your mage/sorcerer (err, first of all things Mirror image), and you can keep your MordenSword from previous battles(I think it is the only spell that doesn´t dispel on you).
But basically the whole thing about this chamber is avoid the flamestrikes like somebody said before.
The best option for the normal mode is still the monk, but in HoF,he won´t stand a chance.
For HoF, I´ve tried with any (main)spell caster and succeded with all(bard, druid, cleric, mage, sorcerer).
With the druid, you can cast protection from fire or elements and "Hammerstar"(it´s a magic +4 weapon) AND a LOT of summons that keep the bronze monks busy...or you can try a cleric with iron skin and more summons, with both of these characters you can heal yourself, but you´re gonna run A LOT... or you can try mage/sorc with mirror image, stoneskin, mordsword, summons if you want(undead preferable),protection from fire and a monk´s patience (with an eye fixed on the signs on the ground) to avoid the flamestrikes.
Just for the record, none of "death" spells works on ANY monks in the eigths chambers.

For my Fighter / Wizard in HoF mode, Haste + Mirror Images (fill up all your slots with it) + Mordenkainen's Sword works wonders. Haste for running away from Flame Strikes and monks (when a set of Images runs out), and Sword obviously for dealing damage.

Sometimes the monks will get stuck on something, so you can get a couple free long-distance hits, too. I'm sure a pure Wizard or Sorc can do it just fine as well.
