An interesting little bug in the game. If you haven't noticed, no matter how many times Iselore gets caught in a blast of fireball, and no matter how many times you attack him, he never takes damage, and he never turns hostile. What's even more interesting is that he'll attack whoever is hostile to you. In other words, hit one of the townspeople standing in that semicircle after you go to Dragon's Eye, and run to Iselore, and the archdruid will personally execute all those angry townspeople chasing you for attacking them.

A second, rather humorous little thing is in chapter 2. If you have Zack open the side door to the temple, and you enter the abisashi den, and you beat the temple, you can get Nathaniel to leave. He waltzes right through the front door, through the aurilites, the barbarians, and the half-dragon woman, but if you follow him, you'll have to fight your way through. In fact, Sherincal is so angry with your sneaking ways that she won't even turn around to face you when she speaks.

I have a question. Inferring from the second paragraph, it seems that access to the side door is possible before you fight Sherincal. The problem is, the only way I can get the ice door [before] the side door open is to have Sherincal summon her crystal golem from inside during the battle, whereas the door will open automatically. Otherwise whenever I try to open the door by myself the description reads that it's only openable by some nearby mechanism, which I haven't been able to locate. Did I simply miss it or something?

If you talk to the Cult of the Dragon necromancers, and you say yes to when they ask whether you want to join the dead (of course, you don't; you need to survive and kill them), they'll open the door. You fight only 2 necromancers and the crystal golem instead of fighting them at the same time as Sherincal. They will leave the side door open. Incidentally, this will make the fight with Sherincal easier.

    Wait a min

Some one actually left those Necromancers alone just to get backstabbed in the fight with Sherincal!?!
    Weird

Don't you know that Bioware considers all Necromancers to be evil?

Seriously though, how do you do this?
Zack opens the door to the Abhisahi lair for you, then how do you open the doors which lead to the fight with Cathin(sp?)?

I was under the impression that Black Isle, not BioWare, made Icewind Dale II.

You can pick the lock between Oria and Cathin if you enter the temple the normal way. If you enter through the Abisashi den, the door wouldn't even need to be picked. If, for some odd reason, you can't open the door to Cathin, you go around the outer circle, use the painting to go down to the altar, then use the stairs to reach Cathin. The only problem is that you need to worry about being mobbed by ice trolls when you go up the stairs.
