[IMG] It's pretty clear that most of us enjoy D&D but what other gaming systems do you like? Which system(s) in your opinion is the best?

I personally think GURPS is the best. It can fit so many different gaming worlds and so all of them so well (except fantasy). A close runner up to GURPS (and D&D) is Shadowrun. I really like the Cyberpunk genre. Adding in different races and magic is just too cool.

[IMG] To be homest I have only ever found one "realistic RPG." Reeeeal fun. Example:
GM: Okaaay...the goblin hits in the face for...5 points of damage wich knocks out...
6 teeth and breaks your nose...the orc hits you in the stomach with a sword for...wow...35 points of damage. Your guts
fly merrily around (thats what stood in the manual)and you are (surprise) dead.

I guess that explained why everyone in the party carried so many healing potions.

    Herf,

If you been on a board that's about D&D/RPG games for four months and posted 147 messages and you have never heard of D&D or RPG games I am kind of confussed. I can understand if you have never played table top but to have never heard of it? What do you think BG, IWD, PsT, NWN just to start a list are based on?

    There were other game systems?

We basically played AD&D exclusively. Greyhawk in particular. We also started running a Forgotten Realms game too which was a lot of fun.

I haven't played P&P in about 6-7 years...The only thing I still do in that regard is paint the figures. It's become kind of a hobby.
