I just saw this last night, and loved it!! They took an author I really don't care for much and made it into a really tightly linked, well thought out and engaging trilogy. I don't usually like Matt Damon's acting but he really kicked butt on this bunch of films.

    Any thoughts from other viewers?

Where have I heard that before? Oh Yeah:

    (From "Forty-Year-Old Virgin" - sorry it's buried in such a long list :( )

I've only seen the ...Identity movie so far, but I was impressed with it; Paul Rudd seems to have hit upon a truism. ;)

I actually liked the Robert Ludlum cold-war novel series, but it was a bit dated. The story diverted a fair amount in adaptation, but I liked it fine on its own terms.

I've heard it's awesome. I'm taking my dad to see it this weekend. Literally the first movie in years where I haven't heard a single bad thing about it before going.

I saw it last week-end and I liked it. The acting was decent and the action scenes were well done. Plausibility is stretched well past the breaking point at times but that is fairly standard for this type of film.

I liked how they integrated the epilogue of the second film into the third one - I wouldn't have expected the screenplay writer to go to that much trouble.

I liked it. Some gentleman sitting alone who felt inclined to yell "Ohoho, he's such a BASTARD!" every time one of the "bad guys" appeared on screen nearly ruined it for me, but I liked what I was able to watch.

Wow, all positive feedback. Hope I like it too, wasn't too impressed with the last 2.

I was unimpressed with the first one, and what little I saw of the second made it seem like "more of the same, but worse". Irrespective of how much good I hear and read about the 3rd one, I doubt I'll watch it.

As far Matt Damon's acting... I thought he was pretty unremarkable in most of his movies, but as Bourne he takes "wooden" to another level.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie as I really liked the other two (kick ass gun fights and car chases. Whoo! :D ). I don't see how some folk don't like Matt Damon's acting, he's been pretty good in all the movies I've seen him in.

I liked all 3. Was just wondering exactly what Nikki's relationship with Bourne was.

Well, it was kinda implied that they had been intimate in the past but, as you say, it was only the vaguest reference and one that they didn't follow up on.

    Sort of a spoiler...

I was just thinking why they suddenly tried to give a vague reference that Bourne and Nikki had some sort of an "intimate" relationship when in the first and second installment, Nikki was simply afraid of Bourne in the most sincerest way.

And oh! My 1,001 post after almost 6 years in this forum. I'm a stingy poster. :D

I think an answer to that may be because in the 1st and 2nd movies, they were convinced that Bourne had "turned", hence the assassination attempts. In the 3rd, both Nikki and Pam Landy were both more inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt after the way he behaved in the 1st 2.

Bit late but the Bourne Ultimatum was good! I liked the bit where he was telling the journalist to pretend to be talking to the guy in the hoodie. I didn't really see the point of Nikki's character in the third movie though -there were no developments at all.
