    Can't enter the city .....

When I went to the BG Bridge I talked to the Flaming Fist Commander, Scar and agreed to the quest. Instead of entering the city I went north to Ulgoths Beard and The Ice Dungeon. After that I went to Durlags Tower and back to Ulgoth's Beard to slay to demon.

Now I can't enter the city while I did all the rest. Some kind of bug, perhaps ?

    Greetings

Why can't you get into the city? Has the bridge been drawn up? If not, you might just have not left the map at the right point. In order to access Baldur's Gate, you have to go through the little gatehouse in the North-West of the map.

You have to go west from the bridge area. Go back there and go through the gate way in the upper left corner, and exit the screen to the west. You'll get a new unexplored area to go to which represents one ninth (1/9) of the city. You can explore from there.

" the little gatehouse in the North-West of the map" I suppose you mean the little farm above the bridge ? Tried that, so I suppose you mean something different....

Another question while I'm here ...

I have Coran in my party of 4 and I defeated the wyveryns in the Cloakwoodforests. But he still keeps saying that he will leave because he must kill them...
Is he just being annoying or did I miss something ?

No. As I said, it's in the bridge area. At the north end of the bridge, you head west and you'll see a wall of stone; that's where the gatehouse is. Get close enough, and you'll see open ground on the other side of it. If you can't see where to walk yourself, you'll have to click on the other side and trust the pathfinding. Once you're on the other side of the gate, you shouldn't have any problem getting to the city by exiting to the west side of the screen.

As stupid as it is, he's looking for specific wyverns, not the ones you might meet between areas. The ones he's looking for are in a cave on the east edge of the fourth Cloakwood map (the one just before the mines). It's rather easy to see since it's big and there's a very noticeable blood trail outside it. Inside are two wyverns and three baby wyverns; once they're dead, Coran will stop b****ing. If you have killed them but he's still complaining, there must be a bug of some kind.

Not the farm. On the map before, with the bridge, look in the top-left corner, and go down a little. You should see a little building, that you can enter, and you can go into the city from there.

Regarding Coran, you have to take the head from one of the Wyverns, and take it to the Temple near Beregost.

Thanks, stupid of me for not seeing that ( it has been 5 years since I've played it )

So, it's a little bug on Coran, just hope he doesn't leave my party. I need him for his bow )

I played always with a party of 6, now it's my first time with 1 of 4 ( a Cleric, Fighter/Thief, Fighter and a Druid ) any succes to the big final or any hints ?

    Thanks

Coran wants you to return a wyrn head to the Temple. I found that removed his complaining.

Coran should have said something about wanting to return the head to the Temple of Beregost when you killed the Wyverns in the Cave and there should be something in your journal speaking of the point either of when you pick him up or you killed the wyverns pointing you to the High Priest there to get the reward for it.

At least if I'm recalling Coran correctly.

I meant there is a bug with Coran complaining even after you do the quest. You have 10 days from when you get him to kill the Wyverns in the cave, get their heads, and head to the Temple or he will leave.

But he makes a dialog in text only every now and then complaining about having to get the creatures (that you already got). Branwen has a similar bug too where she keeps flapping her gums about something. I think it was her...

There is a small patch to download around here I think to fix both those things.
