I heard this one on a news report on the radio, and thought it was so funny that I just had to share it.

"A man committed a series of daring robberies today, and the only weapon he used was his index finger. Claiming that it was a .45 Magnum semiautomatic, he proceeded to rob 6 banks whose tellers gave him the money after he pointed at them. The man was only stopped due to his attempt to rob a cop by sticking his finger into the uniformed police officer's back and ordering him to turn over his wallet. When asked why he tried to rob the officer, the man responded, "I thought he was a little kid with a beard in a Halloween costume."

Who is stupider? The man that did this, or the guys that fell for it?

[IMG] Or the guy who believed it to be true?

Are you sure your source is valid on this one?

Well, I'll go to great lengths for a laff.

I thought this topic was going to be ironic. What with "idiocy" misspelles in the topic and all.

Dangit, didn't realize that one. Must have been in such a hurry to type it up (was pretty late at night), that I didn't think. Anyway, let's see if I can change it to be correct.

Slim and Aik, didn't I say I heard this on a radio broadcast? Anyway, I don't always trust what I hear on this station, but either way, this was too funny not to post.

The story could be true all banks are insured for theft. If a bank is robbed the insurance pays back all the money was stolen. The bank had no reason to give the money to the man. On a side note around where I live bank tellers are told not to fight back, argue with a robber, all they are supposed to give the robber the money.

    Hey!

Someone mentioned my name in a thread!

    Holy cow, I'm NOT invisible!

Back on topic, this sounds like one of those phony emails that circulate.
