the equalizer and the string to bow

    ok i beat bg2 about 5 to 6 months ago but iam going to buy the expansionw when it hits my stores soonand anyways i lost all my characters and stuff had to format computer so im redoing it so i wanted to know were to get the parts to the equlizer and what cahpters they will be there ? were are all the pieces ? and that bow with no string were is the string to it ? im at chp 2 now so what chapyters will they be there and were cnai find them ?

    The pommel gem for the Equalizer is in Irenicus' dungeon at the beginning. The other parts are in the Underdark.

    The string for the Gesen Bow is in the dungeon under Spellhold.

    ok what chapter is the underdark? and were is it>? werew in the underdark? and were in spell hold is the string? and on cwhat chapters to i dont want to miss them?

    If you have beaten the game then you know which chapters you enter Spellhold and the Underdark; I don't recall the numbers because I don't care.

    The hilt and blade of the Equalizer are in the Mind Flayer dungeon and the Beholder dungeon in the Underdark (I forget which is where).

    The string is in the part of the dungeon where you find the Mithril Tokens and it's north of where the vending machine is IIRC. It's in a chest guarded by 4 or 5 golems.

    OK - Spellhold is chapter 4. When you get chucked into the gauntlet, there is a bit which you need the hand of Dace to get through. When you have gone into the next part of this dungeon, there is a section with four doors with paintings on. You need a scroll with a corresponding picture on to open each door. In the Umberhulk door I think, is a passage leading to a machine that wills supply boots with cresdits. Further along is a room with 5 (IIRC) golems. There is also a chest. Inside this is the gessen bow string. However when you pick it up, the golems will all atack you.

    The parts for the Equaliser are in Chapter 5. AFAIK there are bits of it in the beholder dungeon ( On the first Elder Orb) and the other part is in the mind flayer dungeon somewhere. As said above, the pommel ston is in the recreation of Ellesim's bedroom in Irenicu's dungeon at the beggining.
