    Hey all.

    I just recently bought IWD2 and have encountered some weirdness.

    The Heart of <Charname> sword that you buy in the beginning has acted up. It was originally Named after my lead character but has now changed to my second character.

    Anyone else experience this or is it just a bug?

    I haven't experienced that bug, but I was wondering if anyone knows what's so special about that weapon??

    Is it any good...?

    The name of that sword is named after the person who speeks to the vendor when buying it. Perhaps you made a mixup here?

    The weapon is basically a +1 weapon iirc. Nothing big. And no quest related to it either, as far as I've found and heard.

    If you decide to play in HoF mode, buy that sword. It rocks in HoF, it is +5, adds 25 hit points, user is under the effects of haste and freedom of movement, plus I think it gives some spell resistance. Not sure if these numbers are exactly correct since I am going off of memory, however, this sword is much cooler in HoF mode.

    No, I haven't stuffed up. I've got the savegames to prove it!

    It changed just after I entered the Ice Wall. That place with the Remohaz's and those nasty crystal golems. I had to level up a character and when I gave a cusory glance over my inventory, there it was!

    Weird. I'm thinking about going to an old save and seeing if it does it again....

    [​IMG] I too have seen the name change on this sword. At first it seemed like it was named after whoever was the party leader at the time, however it just recently changed to the name of my third character. A cleric whithout large sword proficency who has never even handled it.

    Yeah.

    I've loaded up my people, dual-wielding that HoF version. It really butchers everything.

    Still no Killsword, but close enough to make the game playable...

    It seems that every time I load my game the name has changed. One minute it's the Heart of Jeff, the next, the Heart of Julia!

    If you're leader dies, or whoevers name was on the sword dies, it changes to next in line.

    the weapon sucks in normal mode but try in HoF mode.It's called tale of (CHARNAME) or something.Changed its name I guess.It'll make a decent weapon.

    i always thought that it was the heart of <CHARNAME using the weapon>. I just have my bard using it, so i havent actually tested that. It is not a bug, i dont think. Its not restricted anyway, and it is, after all, just a sword.

    I had a different character buy it than the one that is using it, and the name did change. I'm unsure whether this is a bug or not, but the person whose name is on the sword does not have to die for it to change.

    Hello!

    As much as I have observed this Sword(and HoF equivalent) gets its name at random from one of your characters(it doesn't need to be the character that is using the sword). The name changes everytime you reload(or perhaps restart) the game, so I believe it isn't a bug afterall.
