oh my god, the new movie is the worst thing to happen to D&D since philip athans. what has the world come to, before we were merely teased outcasts (well, at least me) but now... my world is crumbling all around me, crappy D&d books, crappy d&d movies, whats next? d&D children's books? crappy infomercials!? I for one have had it, D&D is a wonderful thing not to be crapped on by those things stated above, fellow gamers, campaigners, players, unite, we have a common enemy!

Considering WotC was bought out by Mattel, I suggest everything will go down hill from here on in. ;)

Eggman welcome back. yep, that's what happens when "things" go mainstream. i have read nothing but bad reviews about the movie so i probably wont see it. maybe i'll catch on video but i doubt it.
i hear the special affects are cool, but how do you make DnD into a movie. i just don't understand that concept. what, throw in a couple mages, dragons and traps then call it a movie? what kind of story line are we takling about here. it must be rather plain and boring.

and Egg, you aren't the only one that got teased. i did back in high school. i remember one guy that didn't play told me that a fireball appeared out of no where and actually consumed a group of players. and yes he was serious. i still catch a litte heat from my freinds and co-workers that dont play, but its all in good fun.

The unbelievers around me were strongly encouraged to keep their opinions to themselves due to my badass reputation around college.
    My condolences, Fategg, heh.
