Small Disclaimer: Yes I know this is a sort of angle that has been done to death but i like it, any people not included in this who want to be then you need to tell me a little about yourselves.....

    Prolouge
Shralp brought his great sword down upon the shield belonging to the great Mathetais. Or at least he would have... If he hadn't been entirely covered in milk chocolate. Poodle desperately defended the rather bemused Kensai/mage from almost certain bruising, bravely holding he giant Priest, Mat back with his fluffy handled Scimitar, selflessly ignoring the small herd of arena squirrels who were busily working to remove every ounce of flesh from the young druids ankle.

"Oh for the love of Tal will you just stop!"
Mat stopped mid swing of his giant Rubber Hammer and turned rather grumpily towards the speaker so that he may face one of the more nasty stares in is collection. Poodle breathed an embarrassingly heavy sigh of relief followed by a squeak of panic as the Squirrels realised that the big pink bloke with the sword was now free to give them his fullest attention. Shralp was beginning to enjoy the advantages of his position as the chocolate began to melt.

The voice had come from Emperor Lokken sitting high in his Royal box, towering over the rest of the arena. Kitiara seductively hanging from his arm and his nervous advisor Avaratar cowering at the back.
"Look this festival is supposed to be in honour of our great God Taluntain! You volunteered for this fight! The least we could expect is something more than a pathetic apprentice in a fluffy pink outfit!
Even the Chocolate/Squirrel machine of unltimate doom could not live up the performance! What the hell do you think you are!?"
"The Pink Poodle sire" whimpered Poodle.
The answer was sufficient to turn the Emperor's face almost the same shade.
"Just get the hell out of my Arena! If ever see you makeshift heroes in this festival again i will turn you into Dog food! And take the rest of you party with you!

They left through the main entrance with their tails between there legs (Poodle literally, the other two metaphorically)

"I bet if i was in there i could do a better job Dog boy"
"Yes you probably could but then your 14 and no where near the required age so shut it"
Poodle wasn't really concentrating on Tiamats remarks anyway; he was too busy getting angry about the Squirrels who were making obscene gestures at him from the safety of the Arena.

Perhaps you should try a more serious approach, though it can include some elements of comedy; when appropriate!
