The most shitty injury

    What you guys think, is the most shitty injury you had / can have. Right now I'm sitting here with a strained ankle.

    I'm out of hockey for a month with a crushed tendon just above my ankle. Stopped a slap shot with my leg and didn't square up quick enough and the puck continued on its way. Can't do anything that puts a lot of strain on my foot, can't walk for very long distances, etc. Pretty shitty but it gives me time to play BG2 too!

    In grade 7 I sprained my ankle, in grade 5 I tried to see how fast I could go around the block on a 10-speed and fell. My head hit the curb on the street and all I remember is it going black for 5 seconds or maybe more, trying to stand and there was a ringing in my head and everything was spinning so fast. Even typing about it gets me uneasy.

    Another time (my 2nd concussion) I went drinking with some buds at a hill near my house. Drinking and tobogganing doesn't mix. I was so wasted I thought I could go down the hill backwards and all was fine. I recall looking up at the stars as I'm going down and looking at the people at the top of the hill getting smaller an...SMACK!

    Stars is all I saw as my jaw smacked shut and my head just rang in my ears. I thought I hit a tree but I hit a guy going up the hill but he didn't see me because he had his waist turned around and was talking down the hill to his friends. The way I hit him, his knee couldn't bend backwards and it popped out.

    Those are the worst injuries I've ever had.

    I got hit by a truck my Sophomore year in college coming home from football (American) practice. I was riding a bicycle at the time, and the truck was riding along a bike path on campus - coming uphill. I was coming downhill, turned the corner...and Wham!

    I hit it head on! I actually walked away from it at first...I was pretty lucky, and it's a pretty funny story now - but it pretty much ended my football career. I tore my rotator cuff (sp?) and damamged my right knee. But with all the adrenaline pumping through me at the time - I picked up my bike and walked the final mile home.

    When I calmed down, I noticed I was really in pain & had to crawl to the phone to call for an ambulance.
