    That depends. How long have you waited (slept)? It usually takes couple of days. Or perhaps it was four, I'm not sure, but I'm positive it's not more than four days.

    However there is a bug with it where it never triggers. It's sorted in SPfixpack: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_editors3.php

    Isn't there two times he 'uses' it?

    He gets a bonus to his stats or something the first time, and a bonus/reduction the second time. (depends on your perspective =)
