Anybody else read this book? I thought it was excellent (as did a lot of other people since it was the 2006 Pulitzer Price winner in fiction).

I thought his vision of the bleak existence and struggles of a post apocalytic world were the most realistic out of anything I've come across (and I've played the 2 Fallout games!:D). For those not acquainted with the book, it follows the journey of a man and his young son as they travel through the land following an undescribed disaster that has brought about the end of civilization as we know it.

If any of you there are interested in reading this, I highly recommend it.

It's next on my list (after I finish Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell). I'll post in you topic when I'm done.

It's been on my shelf (alongside Abercrombie, Pullman, Ruckley, Cooper, and Clarke) for, um, five months now.

I'll get to it any day now. Mhm. Any day.

I have a bit of an obsession with apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic stuff, so it's definately on my to-get list. Of course, my tendency to only buy second hand books means that I might not find it for a while.

Finished it last night. Outstanding. Very quick read. Hard to imagine how he conveyed so much so simply. Really a marvel.

I need to pick this one up. I read, I think the title is "All the pretty horses" by McCarthy and cant say I enjoyed it in any way shape or form but this one has been getting rave reviews.
