    Yohooo! The first poem I post on SP!!!
    Try to give it (if possible) a nice lukewarm welcome!

    The shadow kin.

    Let me embrace the starlit night
    and drink upon its silver gaze
    so I can see my soul take flight
    and come back through the morning haze

    Let me take off on misty wings
    into the silence of the skies
    to hear once more the voice that sings
    before the burning sun shall rise

    Let me follow as once before
    the wild dance of the shadow kin
    and join now and forevermore
    the twilight of the world within.

    I've a love for the apposite opposite, so any poem that can mix "misty" and "burning" alongside "silence" and "sings" in the same stanza is great by me!

    And I'm glad to see a poem that has an actual meter and rhyme. Maybe you could set it to music?

    thanx guys! Though I still believe it's pretty crappy since very far from original, etc...
    Well, like Grey says: at least it rhymes, unlike most pseudo-modern poetry ("I hump his horny hams...")!

    I'll try to select something better next time (I still have a batchfull of them lying around...)
