This book is lame. Salvatore must have been having a bad day when he wrote this. A complete waste of $15 if I must say so myself.:flaming:

How about giving some details why you think it's so bad?

    Joyfully

    1. Lets face it, Drizzt is getting boring. There isn't any challenge for him anymore, he's killed all his enemies besides Entreri who I am sick to death of.
    2. Entreri is getting boring. All he is is some super duper powered up asassain who's only challenge left in the world is Drizzt and as Drizzt had already beaten him twice before now the issue had already been decided and he makes up a bunch of lame excuses about why he lost. A truely pathetic character.
    3. Wulfgar is even more pathetic than Entreri.
    4. Some of the story I just skipped through because it was so boring and nothing constructive was coming from it.
    5. The fights seem to just blend into one long boring lot of hacks and slashes and most of them weren't needed to be described. Such as most of Wulfgars barfights. Too many fights equals me getting bored.

    Anyway, thats about it.

Yes the book that comes right before Servant of the Shard sucks so much major arse that it is painful to read them. Dont remember what it is called but the book right before Servant of the shard was so bad that I only skimmed through it. Skipping entire chapters. The whole Wulfgar story line must be some of the worst shit I have ever read. BUT the wait is worth it, Servant of the Shard is amazing (as long as it is about Entreri and Jarlaxle) Entreri matures and gets lots of new depht. Just hang in there buddy! The torture of reading silent blade and them is worth it!

I (thankfully) never had the horror of reading the spine of the world though I have most definatly heard that it sucked. I didn't believe it when I first heard it but heh, I guess all authors have bad days.
