It's supposed to work 10 times. I've never tried using it though. I've finished BG twice already and even though I've heard others say your characters can die if you don't use the antidote, I've never had the problem.

I think the whole thing is just a hoax. There is no sign indicating I'm poisoned. And I certainly don't lose any hit points because of it. I assume that the super antidote works like a normal antidote if you are really poisoned - except it has ten charges.

I even don't know if you die when you don't do that quest. Maybe you will, but I suppose when you just finished the quest you are done, the potions aren't necessary to drink.

Anyone just in this part of the game who can try this out?

Actually, if you don't finish the quest you DO die, there was another post about that here recently.

In regard to the "super antidote" as far as I could tell, it lasts indefinately, I was never able to use it all up (which was nice as it is a fully functioning antidote for any poison.)

Headbanger, you're right, the quest is over when you talk to the assassin that has the super antidote, you don't have to drink anything.

If I remember correctly, there is a point where you get a message come up saying that you feel very dizzy and just threw up your last meal and that you'd better take the antidote.
