[IMG] I was going through the files being offered and I came across the Baldur's Gate Trilogy mod. The prospect of playing everything in one long epic is very appealing.

    Couple of questions first:
    Who's used it?
    Is it worth getting?
Would it work with the BG weidu mods?
What about the *.ini file cheat? (sometimes I like to add extra monsters)

I'd avoid BGT. Use tutu. BGT is a good mod to use if you are trying to play with the big stuff. (TDD, etc.) The problem with the big mods is that, while they havefixed the bugs, the content is still less than stellar. If you are not looking to use the "big mods" for BG2 and BG1 than you will be better off playing tutu and importing your final save into the next game. You'll find a lot more tutu-compatible mods, anyway.

I believe I'm correct in saying that Tutu has been around in the making for a lot longer, and thus has many more bugfixes.

BGT is reputed to be more buggy, but that may not hold true anymore. The fact is that most of the really high quality mods getting made just aren't compatible right away. Someone that knows how to do it has to go and rework the mod so it will be useable with BGT. Unless you're deadset on running straight through the whole thing with BP it just isn't worth it.

Does Tutu link BG 1 and 2 together? I didnt get that impression from reading the info. Something about playing BG1 using the BG2 engine.

Plus it seems needlessly complex. I think I'll just avoid both mods for now.

Maybe I'll look into making the BG and IWD sagas on NWN...

Tutu only lets you play the BG1 portion of the game. If you then want to play the BG2 part, make a second installation or uninstall the Tutu mod.

BGT is certainly the more complex of the two. ;)
