I would like to get some feedback on the Best MMORPG
out of all these games Im gonna list. You can also List a new game in which I may not know about it.

Keep in mind My to favs atm though I never played them are Ultima Online and EverQuest 2.

Im looking for a Game That has Guild Support,Lots of skills such as Mining,Smithing,Cooking,Thieving,Crafting,Tailoring etc. (The more the merry)

I like PvP as well. So far Only Ultima Has all the capabilties Im looking for. Could someone Give me some ideas About EverQuest 2 and what will it have to offer based on my likings. Also would it even be logical to start Ultima Online since its been out since the begining? I only have few friend in rl that want to play but I dont want to start a game and be the extreme small fish in the sea. I currently Play Helbreath and RuneScape which erm are getting very Boring. I also Play NWN but its not really what I can call the Ultimate RPG. Its a great Game But to me any game that lacks skillz that are trainable is just a hak and slash game to me. I like good Quests,Skills and Fighting. Please post what you think I would like the most. And Also please explain if EQII has what Im looking for, can use examples from EQ 1 since I never played Either. Some also Mentioned Dugeoun Seige but when you read reviews alot of the features are left out. I use www.gamespot.com to review my favorite PC rpgs perhaps you could post me a link to a site you favour more than GameSpot.

    Ty for your time :)

Im on Runescape, its the only one I play, as its free!! I also don't have the patience to start another character, so I probably wont go to another MMORPG

I use the same name, so if anyone decides to friend me, make sure your not some random guy and state where you got my name, then maybe i'll talk, others will be ignored.

[IMG] I say Runescape as well, a brilliant game for lack of graphics.

I've played a little bit of Everquest, Ultima Online, and Asheron's Call.

Some things that seem to be common to all MMORPGs that I don't like:
Confusing - None of them have on screen maps. Finding your way around is very difficult until you've spent some serious time with the game.
Fedex Quests - On games of this scale, it is very difficult to find anything other than fetch the item quests. Since thousands of people will do any one quest, you can't have quests that change the game world in any way, except for the highest level characters. Also, most of the quests I did find were few and far between. I found some web sites that listed quests in the game, and there were not that many, especially considering that character levels go into the hundreds.
Repetitiveness - Find a monster, check to make sure it's not too tough, and click on it to attack. Rinse and repeat 500,000 times.

    On the good side:
Exploration - Ok, the game worlds are large and confusing, but on the flip side, there is a ridiculously huge area to explore. You never know what lies around the corner. The game landscapes are much bigger and more interesting than most single player games.
Socializing - You get the occasional yahoos, but most of the people I have met in MMORPG's were friendly and helpful. Many people will take the time to cast some helpful spells on you, give you cool items, directions, or advice. If you find some decent people to go questing with, it's really cool.
Scope - Most single player games have a relatively low level limit, and the game can be beaten in a few weeks or a month at the most. I know people who have been playing MMORPG's for a year with the same char. It takes you a really long time to reach the upper levels with any char.

I've never gotten really far in any of these games, but the one I spent the most time with is Asheron's Call. I really liked the system in AC where you can pledge to a higher level character. They will gain a small fraction of your exp (it doesn't take anything away from yours though). In return, your patron will give you help, advice, and items. Once you get far enough into it, you can then recruit a vassal of your own. It's like a big pyramid scheme that actually works. The person at the top of the chain I was in had somthing like 850 followers!
There is also a huge storyline once you get into the higher levels, and you can participate in it.

I don't think it has cooking, but most of the other things you mentioned are there. There's tons of skills to master besides fighting and magic.

Here's a couple of AC threads you can check out:
