Have any of you seen this show. I'm not really sure what to think but I keep watching it anyway. Actually I do know one word that might describe it. Cruel. All the contestants believe that they are really great singers and that their musical genius is about to be discovered. The person who actually wins is going to be the lucky one because at least they well have a "recording contract" and a lot of money to cover up the real humiliation they are going to feel.

I really feel sorry for the ones who don't win but think that they can follow the multitudes of opportunities that will open up to them now that they have been "discovered". Most likely their only path is one of ubergeekdom. At least if they have a sense of humor maybe they can laugh it off. Unfortunately a lot of them don't seem like the type to not take offense.

[IMG] Bleh. I watched an episode the other day...and it's certainly the last one I'll ever see.

It's just a bad American Idol version of Joe Schmo. Very stupid. Very lame. And it's not even funny: the "singers" really *really* suck, and the judges try so hard to be funny that they come off sounding incredibly cheesy.
