So, i was just wondering if anyone had any fun themed party ideas! Post yours please!!

Of course, you can't go wrong with the Lord of the Rings party!

Aragorn-human ranger with 2-hander (or fighter)
Gimli-shield dwarf with 2 handed axe
Legolas-moon elf ranger or fighter, uses bows (duh)
Gandalf-some kind of aasimer or human wizard, maybe multiclassed with some fighter for staff/sword dual wielding action
Boromir-human fighter going sword and shield style
Frodo-halfling, erm, fighter? rogue? both? of course, uses his short sword sting

Also, The Robin Hood Party!!
Rangers and Rogues and a fat Monk, oh my!!

My Simpsons party was loads of fun:

Homer - Bard 1 / Barbarian X
Bart - Rogue X / Fighter 4
Lisa - Wizard
Maggie - Sorcerer
Marge - Painbearer of Ilmater (maternal healing power)

 

Aragorn is a Paladin/Ranger (esp. if you read the books).

 

No hes not, hes a bard with several levels in the prestige class "crying prettyboy" and prefered enemy "women"

Shouldn't Legolas be actually wild elf?

 

Goli's right. If you read the appendix, Wild Elf would be the closest match to Legolas.

Gandalf is definitely Aasamir, since you can't choose a more appropriate race (like half-god or something).

Frito is a Rogue, level 1, and you can't advance him in levels. Bilbo was a lot more useful than him (Fighter/Rogue, and you could even make a case for some Bard levels).

HB: Lisa plays a mean Sax in the intro... no bard levels?

 

Klorox, great point! Lisa really should have some Bard levels. I made her Wizard because she would be the only one with enough Intelligence to learn all the spells. Maybe she should just be a high Int Bard instead. A Bard / Wizard would be a bit too tough to play, I think.

 

Arent bards meant to be carefree? cause lisa sure aint

And her personality seems to suit wizard shes kinda of arogant and very sure of herself yet kind of a loner and introvert. Unlike a bard who should be very outgoing and joyful etc not to mention acrobatic n semi athletic which lisa isnt (though she was a gymnist in one episode).

Anbd her love of books suits her to mage with the spell book and all that

 

OK then, she should be a Wizard X / Bard 1 to reflect the fact that she can play a musical instrument.

 

Just give her some ranks in perfom (sax).

I made this post to discuss different themed parties, not to discuss how wrong I am about what race gandalf or legolas should be!! I merely pulled that stuff out of my arse to get a themed party going!

Sooooo... Any fun themed party ideas?

 

OK - the other themed party that I finished IWD2 with was the Buffy party. I chose this party mainly because the portraits and soundsets can be found right here on SP.

Buffy - Fighter / Cleric
Willow - Sorcerer
Zander - Rogue / Barbarian
Giles - hmm, can't remember what Giles was.

The soundsets were awesome though, very cleverly done to say appropriate things at the right times. I can still hear Buffy saying "Ohhh, I don't feel so good right now." whenever she was down to her last HP.

Tiefling Rogue[10]/Sorcerer[20] - Necromancy & Divination.
Human Bard[11]/Sorcerer[19] - Abjuration & Enchantment.

It was quite a challenge not not have everyone automatically pick my favorite spells like fireball, but it was fun (if a bit tedious in the early chapters).

I thought Haley was nore CN, might just bee her greedy streak.
Belkar actually multiclassed to barbarian iirc. At least he joined the barbarian guild.
And Vaarsuvius IS a male, he actually stated that he has a wife

But wow, i was so tempted to try that one myself.

1)Maybe you're right about Haley.
2)Belkar definitely inquired about the Barbarians. I'm not sure if he got any levels in the class though (if he did, he's getting an XP penalty )
3)Vaarsuvius said s/he was married, not that s/he has a wife.
