Of course. But some traps placed wisely and it's posible that he won't be even completly red :D
I got Shade Lich with 4 traps (2 standard and 2 special) ... he died so fast, so I regreted I use tons of protective spels for that combat. One lich in few seconds ... oh yessssss :D :D :D

    Ha..Ha..Ha (ayecapitan) - " hobgoblins are powerful!"

dragon903, you are right. Dragons ARE powerful! They are ment to be powerful...but not indestructible. You'll notice later that there are many good methods of dealing with dragons. You can find millions of hints in this forum, or you can develop your own.

DRAGONS ARE POWERFUL, BUT NOT HARD TO KILL!

Hobgoblins? How about the terrible chickens from Umar Hills :D :D :D? There is a solution to defeat everything, if you wisely use your weapons and spells.

Dragons are easy. ( I don´t mean by using traps and other cowardly things )
I was an undead hunter at lv.9 and with me I had Minsc, Viconia, Edwin and Jan when I beat Firkraag.

But maybe I was just plain lucky?

Dragons are one of the greatest monsters in the BG (and pnp) world....so they MUST be hard to defeat!!!!!!
Moreover you don't have to fight any of the dragons you meet in BGII. Even the last one.....you can have his sword without figthing.

One thing about the dragons is they are not always predictable. In my first game Firkraag never blew fire at my chars, but he sure did the second time. And the Shadow Dragon wasn't so bad, except for the last time I fought her and she was blowing these clouds at my chars and level draining them big time. What gives with these dragons? One time there easy and the next they are nightmares (game set at same difficulty level- core rules)

[IMG] Ive only played the game through once, and i beat it way too early. So im doing it again. I had the difficulty set on very easy, and i still had more than enough probs. with the red dragon. The black one(guarding cup) was very easy!!

    POSSIBLE SPOILER!!!!

I used a couple of Mordenkainen's sword to destroy it. Only took a couple of minutes.:)
Im more of the adventuring type rather than fight so this suits me just fine.Note this does not work with Firkagg since when he uses breath weapon, they get toasted:)hehe.

[IMG] Dragons suck, they are simple, I send in a monk and slaughter them, they do minimal damage and can't cast any good spells, and on top of that they don't have any hp

As a matter of fact, Vicsun speaks the truth! I saw his record screen for the hero from the game. It is lvl 3 indeed.

Vicsun, than you for mailing me .CHR file.

Yet, how come he needs TWO strikes to butcher the dragon in my game? I want to slay 'em with ONE strike!!!!

    [Edit]
    To Mistyca...

If you dont believe this and Vic allows it I'll mail you CHR file. There's no typo - it IS lvl 3.
