I'm playing HoW and my thief seems to be stuck on level 20 (about 2.4m XP). Is this a bug? I thought you could get up to 8m XP with HoW?

The XP cap stops once you get that amount over ALL your classes combined. So if you're a multiclass you're not going to reach the higher levels because your XP are divided amoung the classes. A two-class multiclass would have their XP divided in half for each class, and a F/M/T would have it divided in thirds.

Quake, are you a stright thief or a multiclass?

[IMG] I think I found the cause of the bug. The Icewind dale patch 6.0 might not be compatable with HoW. My problem was solved when I remove the IWD patch from my computer. so try removeing your IWD patch and see what happens.

There is no way to remove the patch, unless you archived your Override dir before you applied it.

Sounds like you have to reinstall.

Be sure to save a copy of your save game folder in a safe place (just in case). Uninstall the game and reinstall both IWD and HOW without the IWD patch. Your save games shouldn't have been moved, but if they were just copy the backup folder in.
