[IMG] What do you think are the worst aspects of the game, and what should be changed for the sequel.

I know the one of the first things said will be better AI, especially so that tecniques like cloudkill into the fog of war (I don't know what it is called in this game, so I go by the Warcraft II name-heh heh)

One of the cheapest things I've found in the game, however, is the ability to use protection scrolls, namely protection from magic, on enemies. Lichs, for example, are ridiculous if you encase them in an anti-magic spell. Their entire power comes from spells, and if surrounded by front-line fighters, they go down without damage to the party, even at the lowest levels. I think that it shouldn't be possible to cast spells like that (and the magic resistance cheat on dragons etc.) on enemies, or they (the enemy) should have a saving throw.

I'd kinda like to see the Golem/magic resistance thing sorted. If you cast cloudkill into a group of golems via a spell they're immune. If you cast cloudkill into a group of golems via a wand it slaughters them.

Golem/C.kill save VS spells = very very good.
Golem/C.kill save VS wands = very very shit.

If a creature is "magic resistant" then it should be resistant to both "magic" wands and "magic" spells imho.

PS. I'm not sure if this is the case with all/most magic resistant creatures, but it is the case with golems.

I would like them to do something with the Forests of Tehthir maps you get after the Underdark. They are cool looking maps, but once you go through them once they are nothing really. Surely the designers can be more creative than that. A couple of mini-quests or something. Not just pointless wandering around hoping enemies will respawn. (Ok they did have one, but it was very short and easy) They should of made it where you have to track down Drizzt instead of him finding you, that was too easy.

Oh yeah and Brynnlaw Island was another great looking place with way too little to do! What is up with that exciting looking battle scene on the back of the box...I never saw that at Brynnlaw.

Oh yeah, dump the cloak of mirroring and shield of Balduran too. Waste of time having beholders in the game if using those items...and no, I don't use either of them.

Ahh, those be not the things to fix, all the cloakes and shield and aother trinkets...
Fix a little logic, so Anomen wouldn't say "..now let us continue searching fer yer sister..." a chapter after ye've found Imoen and illogical things like that

[IMG] Yeah, in Chpater 6 you can still ask people things like "What are the Shadow Thieves" and "Where is Spellhold" or whatever. Also Imoen was in my party and the option to ask where she is was still there. Personally I think the cloak of mirroring SOUNDS marvelous but I've missed it twice now (just gone to the underdark) where is it exactly in Fishland? But this comes from a pet hate of Beholders, if I were a Ranger they would be my opposing race. Oh and there is a cause for celebration: PARVINI is now a Goblin yipee!
