Recall the Unseeing Eye quest, there is a bridge before a hoard of gauths, beholders and shadows. It asks a question, you answer it wrong, and it summons a Greater Ghoul, or a Skeletal Warrior.

They always drop treasure: from a measly gem or gold to... level 8 mage scrolls! (The skeletal warrior also drops his usual helmet and two-handed sword +1) And Roger the Fence is just a few screens away where you can sell everything.

The bridge never runs out of monsters either! And they aren't terribly hard to kill, assuming you can handle paralyzation on hit (ghoul) and moderate damage (skeletal warrior).

I've been able to find elusive spells like spell shield and summon hakeashar quite reliably from here.

The only down side is no experience for the kills.. but not to worry! That door with a face near the entrance spawns unlimited monsters that DO give exp. (a wandering horror [5000exp] and 2 sword spiders [2000exp each])

In the skinner murder quest surround tanner with your party, the hit him.He will cry as "WHAT is it now?" Then you'll get 22500 xp. Then pause quickly and speak with him again, then get another 22500 and anothe and another.
And in the Asylum, remember the statue that gives you xp before you can enter 2nd floor? You can speak with him many times, i spoke with him 5 times.
