[IMG] Anyone ever notice that there are only two rooms in the whole game to rent? This occurs in Targos, where in the Weeping Widow inn you can rent either Common or Merchant rooms. You're not allowed to rent Noble or Royal... in the whole game!!! That's rather silly, to me. What's the point of even showing the pictures of the rooms when you can't ever get them? Just another way of saying "Game is too short!!!"...

    I don't know.

But what if a party full of palladins could rent noble rooms ? ;)

Please enlighten us on why you should be able to rent noble and royal rooms in some backwater town that's about to freeze over and in a monastery.

Lol, I don't think it is that big of a deal. Just like it's predecessor, IWD2 is a dungeon crawl. More focus on monster fighting and exploring than solving a continent spanning puzzle. Hojo-Jojo's point is excellent. If you go to some backwater town in any nation, even England, France, and the USA, you might not get the best of accomodations. It kind of makes the adventuring more realistic, b/c if you were adventuring, would you expect to find Waldorf-Historia's everywhere you went?

Yeah, but Imost's point is...why even have Noble or Royal rooms appear on the list? Looks like they siphoned their code from BG/IWD and didn't take the time to cancel out those two options.

Incidentally, along those same lines, there's only one place to drink - the Salty Dog Tavern. So much for that high-Con-barbarian-to-get-gossip character type.

I'm not saying noble or royal rooms sould be all over the place, when they're not supposed to... I'm merely pointing out that, like Grey Magistrate says, it's really just a copy from Baldur's Gate in this case- there's no real point in it. Someone unfamiliar to the BG series might just wonder... Also, there are a couple monsters that show up once, and only once, and that's it. As much as I hate to admit it, IWD II is either way too short or just slightly rushed  .

Compared to ToEE, IWD2 is looooooooong. It gives new meaning to the phrase "dungeon crawl". It's not BG2-length, but what is?
