[IMG] Just watched Terry Gilliam's Time Bandits. Awesome movie.

I'm a big fan of Terry Gilliam. I've yet to watch a movie by him that was bad, or even average. I found Time Bandits to be even crazier. In places the movie screamed "Monty Python"; the scene with Napoleon could have easily been a sketch in Flying Circus (Ian Holm was great in this role). The real show-stealer though was David Warner as Evil. His lines about God, slugs and the silicon revolution were hysterically funny!

The movie's ending was a complete shock. I've seen the movie advertised as a "kid's movie", and most of it could pass for a family movie if you're willing to ignore some very dark and occasionally cruel humour. But the ending completely changed my mind. I'm quite glad I did not watch this when I was 8 or 9 years old!

Anyone want to share their thoughts on the movie?

He did Irenicus in BG2 and Morpheus in Fallout (among other things).

But yes I really enjoyed it. Terry Gilliam is most certainly a great director, his budget for this movie was very modest but he managed to get some stunning visuals and he convinced Sean Connery to play in it. I remember when I first watched it as a kid. It was terrific!

I know. I'd also seen him in Hogfather (though he has a very brief appearance). But I did not know he was in Time Bandits and so was delighted when I saw his name in the credits. He gets quite a bit of screen time and his delivery is just great.
