I try to get some decent late night BG playing done and what happens? I start yawining cause every time I take a trip somewere the paty needs rest and all my NPC's start complaining. Imoen's rest comment really makes me sleepy, especially at 2 pm. And then those guards at the Friendly Arm Inn, all they do is yawn. I retired at the Friendly Arm last night before going off to Cloakwood as planned because of this. Is anyone able to pull some BG all-nighters and not let these little subtle hints lure you to sleep?

Woulden't know nver tryed an all nighter. But your right with some of the NPC they did a good job (perhaps too good) of a job making them actually sound tired.

[IMG] I used to just rest in the wild in places I found consistently safe. Or you can often rest after being "waylayed" and having to defend yourself.

Rest before you do a long trip, then you would find your party-members quite awake when you arrive.

[whoa] I'm getting a little bit sleepy... might we stop? :)

Headbanger: That works for the short trips however if you do a long distance one such as FAI to the Clookewood mines The trip itself takes more than a day. so no matter what you do you arrive sleepy.

    Agreed kemanmaldea...

when they are tired they get a penelty to their attacks don't they?

So what happenes if you decide to be a basta** and not rest them at all for days? do they drop from exhaustion?

I'd say with all the accumulating penalties they are more likely to get killed in combat than dropping from exhaustion. Especially since you can't walk ten feet with running into some kind of monster ;)

Works for shorter trips only? Then make the trip shorter. When I res tand then travel from Nashkel Mines to Baldur's Gate I still don't have this problem. But when you do, just travel to the Friendly Arm Inn and rest, and then travel to BG.
