[IMG] Has any read Time Lind by Michael Crichton? It's a great book! I'm reading it for the 2nd time and it's still like I just picked it up to start to read.

I like it even more so since it's set back about 600 years ago and is very well writen.

Not Crichton's best work (I liked Sphere a hell of a lot) IMO, but still very good. I liked the historical context he threw in there.

Yes Sphere was a lot better now that I think of it. But Timeline is my fav.

He's rather good at makeing things sound like they really could happen. He's got quite a talent for writing.

Yeah. I wouldn't call him a great author, but "Very good" is reasonable. He really caters to "my status quo" (teenagers) with his novels.

A friend recommended the book to me. Quite good, although the only other book by Chrichton I've read is Jurassic Park.

    "Quandam foam made me roam."

I havnt been able to read his other books. Mostly because they dont sell them much around where I've looked. I've been to the libray and even their they dont have much.

The only books of his I've been able to read are Jurassic Park I&II, Timeline, Sphere, and Congo.

Not sure which one I like more but I have read The Andromeda strain, Sphere, Timeline and Airframe and they were all good. If I would pick one it would probably be Airframe.

The Andromeda strain I read over 20 years ago so I could not remember the name of it at first. But I found The Official Site of Michael Crichton to answer that for me

I really liked Timeline. It was my first (and so far only) Criton book ... so I can't compare too much with the others.

His background on the time-period was very intruiging. I liked the way he described jousting ... and the way that "cerimonial" armor was made at 3/4 scale...little details like that were nice.

I heard somewhere that they were looking to make a movie out of this book soon. I'd vote for Dean Cain to play the history prof / sword-slinger. :)

Gotta love Cain. I really liked him in Lois+Clark - best Superman show, better than that lame Smallville WB trash..

You might want to read JP I&II. They both are pretty much nothing like the movie. JP II the book is nothing at all like the movie.

Unforantly I've forgoten most all the little details in Timeline so that why I'm reading it again.

    Here something about Timeline.

    The computer game Timeline, http://www.crichton-official.com/timelinemain.htm

    And as for a movie...YES!

I wonder who's going to play that guy. Whats his name...the dude who joust in the present. I wonder if who's he's going to be played by.

Edit: Now I know who you are talking about! Ya he would do for the professor.
