Time Stop and Spike Trap

    So at some point in the future, I am contemplating an evil playthrough of BG2, with defeating Ascension to boot.

    Now ... I still hate Jan's stupid stories (except the one about how Jaheira should smile and something else a little more often ;)), but I'm starting to wonder about tactical possibilities that I may have overlooked.

    If Jan casts Time Stop and sets Spike Traps underneath an enemy, when will they go off? Will they all go off as soon as the Time Stop wears off?

    You can't use traps in front enemies, iirc. You'll have to lure monsters into some.
    If you're using Tactics then something weak will probably spawn right before the bosses do, just so you traps will be wasted.

    Yeah, the traps won't work like that. You can save on actual castings of time stop by using the trap with the same effect in its place. But if you're using Jan, a more obvious choice would be to cast Mislead, Spell Immunity: Divination (and park the decoy somewhere well out of the way) then backstab away.
