[IMG] Yep, I'm a Mac user, yep it's my first post here.
    No flames please ;)
[shudders at memory of Homeworld board]

I have the Mac version of SoA, and was wondering, could you install ToB on it?

In other words, could one of the following be done:
    A) Install it manually, dragging files and such
    B) Install it somehow from within a PC emulator such as VirtualPC

Of course, this assumes that ToB does not modify or add executables (from what I've heard, it sounds like it's all data).

So what I'm really asking is, is this possible?

    Thank you for your time.

    [IMG] Hey.

Why on Earth would anyone flame you for that? At worst, we wouldn't be able to help you since there are next to no Mac users here as far as I know.

Regarding your question, I think it is not possible. Mac conversions have to be done specifically and it takes them quite some time to port something from PC to Mac. Currently ToB is not available for Macs. (At least no one ported it yet to my knowledge.)

If you tried to do it manually like you describe you'd most likely just mess the whole game up.

To answer your first question, "once bitten twice shy". Homeworld board flamed the **** out of me a bit back, and I'm still a tad nervious.

    Actually, it might be possible.
Both the level 50 rules and the shops fix (both of which I assume were never tested for Mac) seem to work fine.

Maybe I should try some mission packs first to see if THEY work...
