    Please tell me who stole the guy's spell book. He said it was someone with small feet and muddy boots. I can't find anyone who matches that criteria when I click on them lets me initiate a dialogue with them. Please help, I welcome spoilers.

    First off, there is actually a thread about this already on this page.

    Second, the small footprints are those of a child, who helped the rogue the mage mentioned to steal the book. Or something like that. :)
