Trouble with Phaere

    OK,

    I brought back the blood for Matron Ardulace then went, as instructed, to talk to Phaere. Trouble is, she only gets halfway through the conversation. After I tell her I don't mind betraying Ardulace, she says a few more sentences then that's it. The screen acts like I had clicked the "end dialog" button, but that button never appears. Also, since she never gets to the part about the eggs, I know the conversation is not over. I have gone back several times, but every time it is the same. I even tried varying my responses. Has anyone else had this type of problem?

    I suggest you get a patch and the Baldurdash fixpack...sound's like a dialog bug to me...

    Can you elaborate? I have heard of patches, but have no idea how to go about getting them, or the Baldurdash fixpack.

    Download the patch and install it first then get Baldurash and install it later...

    Head to the website this forum is from (http://www.sorcerers.net) then go to the games section... or you could shortcut it:
    http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_misc.php

    Top of the page. Download the relevant version and run it.

    Then head to http://www.baldurdash.org and download the SoA fixpack and run that.

    EDIT: If you don't have any plans to install the expansion you can use the Sorcerer's Place fixpack (available under the Tweaks section IIRC) instead of Baldurdash.

    Got it. Thanks Sparhawk.

    I have finished with Adalon, and have gone back to explore the Kuo-Toa Dungeon. For some reason, during the fight with the Demon Knights, I become unable to use any of my spells or quick items. Without the ability to summon spiders and other creatures, the battle is next to impossible.

    Could this be the same type of problem I had with Phaere?
