So I installed Tutu, and everything was going just fine, until I got to the Gnoll Stronghold. Now it's really choppy and I'm not sure why. I tell my party where I want them to go, and the game freezes for a moment, then the characters appear where I wanted them to go, with no movement. I'm finding this very frustrating, and I'm wondering if it's a problem with Tutu itself or if it's a problem with that area.

    EDIT: Nevermind, problem solved.

Out of curiosity, what was the problem, and how did you solve it?

Too many background noises. I turned off the ambient sounds, and the problem was solved.

Hi, I had the same problem, and I thought I was mad, since running BG1 via tutu shouldn't cause any problems on my computer. I re installed tutu but I havn't reached the Gnoll Fortress with my new party. I will do as described, I hope it will fix the troubles. Has anyone else tried this too? Can sounds really cause such troubles? It puzzles me how...

I don't think the problem has anything to do with Tutu. I am playing with Easy Tutu and just went through the Gnoll Fortress with no probelm. The only sound I have turned off is footsteps simply because they annoy me.

The problem appeared as I approached the Gnoll Fortress, before that, there were no problems.
