Let me start by saying that I am fully patched and Baldurdashed and stuff.

The only mods I have installed are Dungeon Be Gone, and something that changed Imoen into a Swashbuckler before dualling to Mage and that made Minsc a Berserker instead of a Ranger.

    Here are my problems:

    1) I just finished Jan's quests (I'm in Chapter 6), but he won't rejoin my party. I don't get his ex-girlfriends boyfriend to show up, and I don't get an EXP for my troubles. All that happens is that he loops his conversation, saying "Jaella is OK" (or something very similar).

    2) I have Keldorn with Carsomyr, and he's wearing Kagain's Amulet of Magic Resistance (or something like that, it adds 10% magic resistance).

For some reason, Keldorn only registers the 50% Mr from Carsomyr, unless I unequip the Amulet, and then put it back on. This is really annoying! Is there any way for him to have the 60% all of the time (like I assume he should have)?

    TIA

    1) No idea. Looking through the weidu.log file in your BG2 folder should help you figure out what you've installed.

    2) It's a common misperception that Carsomyr is suposed to grant +50% MR, when it is supposed to set MR to 50%. This was confirmed as intended behavior by the devs when Dorner was making the Baldurdash fixpack. That it shows briefly as 60% before reverting to 50% is an engine hiccup; it really should stay at 50%.

IIRC, Wes' Item Upgrade includes a silent tweak that makes Carsomyr's MR stack instead of set. If you don't want the rest of the mod, you can just drop the item file in your override folder.

    Fix for Jan looping

I realize this is way too late to help the original poster, but I just ran across the issue of Jan looping thanks after his quest in my own unmodified install of the game. I managed to at least get Jan back in the party by switching debug mode on in baldur.ini and then entering
    CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JANLISSA", "GLOBAL", 0) and
    CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JANLISSAPLOT", "GLOBAL", 0)

This made Jan believe that I had failed the quest, and Jaella had perished. He then offered to re-join the party. After he had joined, I switched the JANLISSAPLOT flag to 1, but mostly out of sentiment...I don't think it was needed. :)

This option cheats you out of the experience for the quest, I believe, but getting Jan back is arguably far more useful.
