    1. In the Tyrannar fight, are the summoned dead actually undead? If they are would Control Undead work on them?

    2. Does Death Ward protect a character from Disintegrate and Black Blade of Disaster?

    No, Control Undead does not work on them.

    Yes, it does. Atleast, it did in Baldurs Gate II...I personally haven't tested it in IWDII but there's no reason why it wouldn't.

    Actually I tried it last night and Control Undead took control of Guthma and the Beastmeaster and I then used them to beat Sherincal and G-something Sharptooth into pieces. Then I used it to have them beat each other into pieces(with the help of my characters) :)

    I'm telling you Control Undead made the Tyrannar fight too easy!

    Next test .. Control Undead vs The Slayer Knights of Xvim. IIRC Slayer Knights are immune to Holy Word. They are clearly not good, and I know the Undead are immune to Holy Word regardless of alignment. Control Undead works on Elven and Orcish Dread Warriors ... so I'm gonna fire up the Lower Resistance and hit the Slayer Knights with Control Undead ... I'll let you know what happens
