I want this. VERY BADLY! VERY VERY BADLY!

Can someone please tell me how to get it? I know I have to force a random drop by reloading at spots where a drop is likely. I also know that Tyrannar Brutai Mai drops one after you kill him.

What I want to know is, where else is this drop likely? I've got like 5 Rings of Freedom of Movement...and short of "ctrlaltdelete"'ing them in, I would like to know how to get them.

    HELP!

It's called "random drop" for a reason :p
I don't think anyone's done a classification for random drops in IWD2 the way Dan Simpson has for IWD1, so your only bet is to go through the game files with Near Inifinity and try to find where the item is dropped. Keep in mind the random drops are set the first time you enter an area, so you may have to replay a large portion of that area in the hope of getting the item.
Either that or just CLUA the item... it will be far less tedious than a constant save/reload process.

I found one in a room in 2nd (or maybe 3rd) floor of severed hand Normal mode on my last runthrough. Very very good ring!!! Makes my sorc überpowerful and can also make my Fi1/Clx a killing machine...
Thats at least one possible place!

@Mudde: IIRC that is the room where you find the Tyrannar Brutar Mai...

Well...if that's the case, as soon as I start HOF, I'm consoling it in for my tanks. One per sounds about right...I've got 5 Rings of Freedom of Movement...that's one more than my party size! They kept dropping in Dragon's Eye and stuff. :(

Yeh I found about 3 or 4 of them in the Severed Hand. One question though, how exactly good is the ring? I don't understand why it is so good! Could someone please enlighten me on this because I didn't know luck was such a big deal.

+1 luck is like the following things combined:

    - +1 attack bonus
    - additional improved critical feat
    - nearly +1 damage with your weapon

I don't know if luck also effects saving throws or magic damage when using spells with rolled damage like magic missile or fireball.

And Tymora's loop gives more than +1 luck so you get several times that much.

Pretty sure that luck also affects saves as well, Kmoster.

BTW, if you're really looking for "luck" items, don't forget the Lucky Knucky in HOF mode. ;)

Luck affects dice rolls basically...therefore...say if you had a luck of 3...all rolls of 1d20 for example roll from 4-20 instead of 1-20. The more you stack this, the more exponential the benefits.

Your spells will do more damage.

    Your AB goes up.

Your crit range increases...imagine doing critical hits on a 13-20 range with Imp. Crit. feat with Massive Greataxe of Flame +5!! Imagine this character with Executioner's Eyes!! That's a crit on a range of 9-20!! Unbelievable!!

    All your saves increase.

    All your skill checks increase.

Your weapon damage increases...in that a 1d8 roll with a longsword only rolls between 4-8, instead of 1-8, hence boosting your over-all damage etc.

As you can see...they are easily the most powerful items in the game!

The Luckest One would be the one who equips 2 Tymora's Loops(cumulative).

    max luck is 8=1(human 1st level feat) + 2*3(Tymora's Loop) + 1(Spell Luck)

With the help of Executioner's Eyes, you critical range will be 4-20.

Remember to re-equip the ring whenever you Loaded/Rested/Entered a new area.

The feat only applies to saves, it does not confer general Luck to the charecter.

Since Tymora's Loop is found so late in the game, legally, you would really be making use of it when you took that party into HoF mode. In that case you could also take Ned's Lucky Knucy from Targos for another +2Luck.

Add the spell Luck and the Bard song for increased Luck. Don't bother with the Potion of Luck, it does not stack with the others.

The maximum will then be +2*3 (tymoras) +2 (Neds lucky) +1 (luck spell) +1 (bard song, have been told that these may stack so more bards give more luck, can have been before the patch) for a total of +10 luck. With executioner's eyes (+4 crit) and Improved crit you get critical on 5-20 with axes (prefered for the *3 damage) or 4-20 with sword.

Makes you drool a bit, don't it? :D

Doesn't anyone know of a surefire way of getting these without relying on random drops?

What other ways are there to get luck bonuses in this game?
