Ulgoth's beard not reachable.

    [​IMG] I started a new game last week and I can't acces Ulgoth's beard. I go north from the bridge of Baldur's Gate and there isn't a transfer icon.

    I am running BGTutu with some minor mods like easy of use, nothing really big. I am currently just before hitting the bandit camp and I am ravaging the country side for all manner of quests.

    Can you only access Ulgoth's beard after a certain quest or is it some kind of bug? I would like to know because I would lose soem nice items and quests.

    [​IMG] You need to go north of the BG bridge on the actual bridge map. You'll discover a new "zombie farm" map. You can only go to Ulgoth's Beard from there. While I was initially playing BG I completely missed this map, as it's pretty hard to find and irrelevant to any quests etc.

    Alright, I can only reach the zombie farm map by going through baldur's gate first. Take the north gate IIRC.

    Weird thing though is that I am pretty sure that you can reach Ulgoth's beard by going north from the Bridge Map. But there isn't a map transfer icon above the house where that priestess of umberlee lives.

    Anyway I'll try the north gate and then via the zombie map to Ulgoth's beard but it'll take a while I have to do the cloakwood mines first.

    Actually, I think there's also a path through the trees on the right top side of the bridge map, so you don't need to be able to cross the bridge first.

    Yes well that's the whole problem, that path is above that priestesses house, in fact there is an Ankheg there with a dagger in his belly which is a quest item for in the Gate.

    Problem is there isn't a transfer map icon - I still have to try the zombie map though I'm hoping that will work.

    If for some reason that doesn't work, can I get there any other way except bridge map or zombie farm map. Cheating as a last possibility.

    Finally got there, after the mines over the bridge and I'm in Ulgoth's Beard. :thumb:
