I wondered, is anything done with the Umar witch, or is it just storyline filling
if no, don't give spoilers, i'll check it out myself first

 

Yes something is done, she does 'exist'. Any class can do the quest.

 

No it can't, it's a ranger stronghold quest. Can't be that hard to read a previous reply.

 

I only said anyone could do the Quest, not nececarrily the Stronghold.

Gopher, you only get the quest if you are a ranger and have the stronghold.. sheesh.

 

But the Quest does not involve the witch. Just because some people are saying that Umar has returned doesn't necessarily mean it's true. It isn't. It's a nancy-boy undead fella who likes to call himself the Shade Lord.

If you do the ranger stronghold quest, which is well worth it, you end up tangling with somebody who *pretends* to be the Umar witch, but who isn't. The short answer to your question is no, you don't get to kill the Umar witch.

The reference to the Umar witch is primarily comic relief....try to buy that book off the innkeeper, the one he's really trying to sell, and you'll see what I mean...

edit: Sorry, wildfire, you're a bit quicker on the trigger than I am. Methinks he's confused the "Umar Hills Quest" with the "Ranger stronghold: The Umar Witch", or whatever it's called...

And sorry for the spoilers, but they're not terribly revealing...

ER..no Gonzago, i know full well of the Ranger Stronghold quests, i play a ranger!!
I just didnt want to give anything away! like a SPOILER!

So i kept it vague, the shade-lord was at first thought to be the Umar Witch yadda yadda.

 

So, just to get things right here, you have to be a ranger to get the "Witcht" quest
