My game had gone kind of buggy due to all the mods I had installed, and because I apparently have the collective wit of a snail, I neglected to make a back up. So I decided to uninstall/reinstall everything and do it right the second time around. I saved aside a character file I wanted to keep, yanked SoA out of my system, deleted all the mods, and went about reinstalling the whole business.

Unfortunately, my computer seems to have other ideas.

Everything goes OK until I get about 37% installed, and it asks me for Disc 2. OK. I put it in. It thinks for a minute. 38% installed. Suddenly it stops. An error message pops up. I don't understand most of it, but it's got something to do with a file called "CREAnim1.bif". I press "OK", and the installation disappears completely. I have tried this twice now with the same result. I have tried inserting disc 3 when this error message pops up, in the hopes that maybe I could trick it into continuing the install. No luck. It crashes anyway.

    What is this file?
Why is it producing an error message?
    How do I fix it?
