    Hi All

I have just reached the underdark and I hate the Drow Priestesses.

Any suggestions on how to beat them. In my party I have Minsc, Jaheira, Nalia, Imeon,Aerie and my main character is only a level 15 mage. (I never played Baldurs's gate one so had started from scratch from the bonus disc character)

With so many wizards I may have to cast some powerful spells. I realize that they have a high magic resistance.

I am fealing I should have picked up one more fighter as with Yoshimo leaving I only have Minsc and Jaheira.

By the way thanks Sylvus Moonbow for such helpful walkthroughs.

if you do it right you only have to fight 2 drow people in the city... or do you mean the other inhabitants?

I was meaning the Drow Priestesses on the way to the Trapped Soul Machine, just as you enter the Underdark. (Near the Spore Colonies)

I have just bet them by casting Fireballs, Cloud kill, Death Fog, Magic Missiles, and Web.

I didn't find the Priestesses difficult; what made that battle tough for me were the mages identified only as Drow. By the time I realized they were casting spells it was almost too late!

Wasn't that Soul Machine fantastic? You never knew what might come out! :)

Yep that Drow 'party of 6' took me by surprise the first time thru BG2 as well. And If you let the spellcasters last a few rounds well... that's a few rounds too many. They summon and launch spells like crazy.

However if you have any spellcaster that can summon a Nishruu or Hasheakar then cast that in your first round of battle. Those Drow spellcasters will focus in on that summoned creature (Nishruu/Hasheakar) and you can take out them out as you see best. It works VERY well for me when fighting any opponent that has spellcasters.
