simple one does the plot line in Underdark alow me time to go finish the Illithiad lair after I have the first sets of fake eggs from Phaere. just finishing of the Lich.

p.s. 1st tine through and i chose the "Wizard Slayer" (possible name wrong) pack, and i agree with reviews its pretty damn limited.

Well, first time through, I apparently missed a fair bit of the "story" and just went on a hack and slash spree while in the Underdark. I found and visited all three of the non-Drow lairs - Illithid, Kuo-Ta and Beholders - on my own before ever getting in to see Adalon and thus, before ever picking up the quests involving those places. So, when I received the quest choice, I had actually already completed them, having barely survived all each!

So, my suggestion, now, is that you do whatever is necessary to complete the quest to exit the city and then, before revisiting Adalon, go do/finish off the areas in the Underdark you haven't visited/completed yet. Since they can be found and entered without information from in-game NPCs or monsters, you can justify this role-play-wise as "found during exploration."

Not a good idea. Maybe you will miss Phaere's time limit.
But you can easily do the mind flayers after you leave the drow city, BEFORE you return to Adalon. Then you will have endless time (though I couldn't rest at the mindflayers anyway).

Youshould just save this part of the game for later. When you helped Phaere, she will introduce you to the Matron Mother. She will ask you to get the blood of the three Noble enemies, the Mind Flayers, the Beholders and the Kua Toa's. Then kill them all, return the blood and you will be rewarded. After that the ceremnoy will start and you Phaere and the Matron Mother will be killed.

I didn't follow the story either. When it was asked for, I already had one of the requested items. I thought it was weird when I found it.

Actually, I did Illithid, Kuo-Ta and Beholders before going to the Drow city, as a result, when they sent me over to the platform to wait for the Beholder, it never happened, I missed out on a great deal of the story, I just killed every drow, but I never got to meet Jarlaxel (it was quiet simple, my lvl 21 Monk, a Viconia with the Flail of the Ages doing some healling, Minsk with the best sword I had, a Valygar duelling a +2 Kat and the Celestial Fury, Edwing, and Imonem doing Fireball and desintegrate got me out of there in no time killing every drow. The city isn't really worth it, except for xp. If you want, do the other areas and then just go see the silver dragon, I played with an evil like attitude the whole game, and this was the easiest of all the Dragons, I just did Slay Living double Fingers of Death and Quivering Pal at the same time as soon as I saw it and one of them hit everytime I tryed it, it droped on the spot.

[IMG] That shouldn't happen. I usually do all three lairs before entering Ust'Natha too (roleplaying justification: they're exploring! that's what they bump into), and I've always finished the Drow City without problem!

[IMG] Roleplaying justification? What do you need THAT for? Nobody here has to justify him/herself, not even for cheating!

I agree with Tiamet. You should be able to finish the drow city without slaughter even if you visited the other areas first.
That is how I did it.
